1) If I sort a plan by visible (A) then by notes (D) it sorts fine and if I save the plan it is opened in that same sort.

2) If I sort a plan by visible (A) then by notes (D) and select use as default it sorts fine but after saving the plan and opening it the plan is sorted randomly, at least I don't see a pattern.

The Clear button works fine. I can clear then repeat #1 and everything is fine.
