| Title | Add User Image causing hard crash |
| Description | Trying to add a user image to a plan object is hard crashing AP v20a28. It crashes to desktop (CTD) so I cannot use the built-in bug reporter. It is certainly reproducible if I follow exactly the same actions. Currently I'm attempting to simplify the actions whilst retaining the CTD condition. It takes a while (3-4 minutes) for Windows to clean up the crashed process. If I clean up manually then the machine will be in an unknown state prior to the next test cycle = not good.
Currently the actions are:
1: Right-click a plan object 2: Select 'Add User Image…' 3: Click 'Load Image…' 4: Navigate to directory containing required image 5: Copy the directory name to clipboard (highlight directory text, right-click, select Copy) – I want to use this in the image description field 6: Navigate to the image, select the image, click Open 7: Type some text into the Description field ("Slooh ") and ctrl-v to paste the clipboard contents 8: Click Save 9: AP CTD = bang!
Annoyingly the above sometimes works once, then CTD on the next try. Important point.: On restarting AP the user-image has been added to plan object ('U' appears in the Images column). There is a bit of a delay before the column is updated. Image index file being rebuilt? |
